All of my life I've dreamed of being able to make a difference and help those who truly need it.  But, never did I have the opportunity to really reach out and help people on a personal basis the way I did with BOC. When I went on a medical trip to Haiti, I was able to really feel like I had accomplished something great.  We were able to give love and medical care to those that are unfortunately unable to get either. We might not have helped EVERYONE but we did help over 1,400 people in one week, and every little bit counts. If you share a similar dream, I encourage to join up with us and help one person at a time, one step at a time, one day at a time.

Join a Traveling Team

Our Traveling Team volunteers are at the heart of Bread of Compassion.  It’s our Team Members who provide hands-on care with love and dignity to those in need.

Whether they share a smile, give a hug, listen to a story, or teach about basic hygiene, they bring hope to those in the most dire conditions.

While Traveling Team members give, they also receive. Volunteers come away from their experience with a sense of making a real difference in the lives of those in need. As they share their time and talent, they receive loving gratitude and a new perspective on what life is really about.

Traveling Teams volunteer to spend 8-10 days abroad and commit to subsidizing their own trip.

While abroad, they work in smaller field teams to help:
•   Set up and break down mobile clinics
•   Provide medical care
•   Dispense medications and vitamins
•   Wash and clean wounds
•   Distribute clothing and food
•   Provide childcare
•   Teach classes on basic hygiene and HIV prevention

Many of our Traveling Team members return home exhausted from the hard work and long hours yet exhilarated by the experience.  They are quick to ask when the next trip will be!

Our next trip is planned for September 14-22, 2015. If you would like more information, please see our FAQs or contact us.

We hope you will consider joining us on a memorable and worthwhile trip.
